TSN’s Bob McKenzie is back with yet another interesting and thought provoking list involving NHL head coaches. McKenzie presented five questions to 20 head coaches (10 from the East and 10 from the West), including: Who’s the MVP? All 20 coaches believe Carey Price should win the Hart Trophy. [TSN]
We’re still anxiously awaiting an update on the health of leading scorer Max Pacioretty. Thankfully, Pacioretty was able to travel home from Florida with the team yesterday, but we won’t have an update on his condition until he is evaluated by medical staff on Tuesday. [RDS]

Success in the playoffs without Pacioretty is a dubious proposition at best. According to a fantastic piece by Adam Gretz, Pacioretty is clearly driving the Canadiens offense. Former Habs defenseman Dollard St. Laurent passed away the age of 85 yesterday. St. Laurent won five Stanley Cups with the Canadiens and the Chicago Blackhawks. The news comes just two days after the death of former star Elmer Lach. [TVA]
The 5-foot-11, 205 pound St-Laurent was as dependable as they come. He was a total wrecking ball on the back end and played a big role in the teams success. [Gazette]
Our very own Robert Rice is back with another edition of “Catching The Torch”. He looks at Tim Bozon, who is absolutely tearing it up in the WHL playoffs. The Kootenay Ice sniper had 3 goals, 6 assists for 9 points in jury four games last week. It really is an amazing story considering where he was a year ago. [EOTP]
Speaking of the Senators, they lost a critical game in a shootout to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday night. Or did they? Twitter was in an uproar yesterday when many believed there was evidence that defenseman Marc Methot actually scored the game-winner in overtime. Can you imagine Sidney Crosby and the Penguins actually missing the playoffs? Okay, it’s still unlikely. But if they do, the Edmonton Oilers will have two cracks at Connor McDavid thanks to the first round draft pick they received from the Penguins in exchange for David Perron earlier in the year. [TSN]
It has been a difficult year for head coach Patrick Roy and the Colorado Avalanche. After being a great story in 2013-14, this season has been a disappointment from start to finish. Lastly, yet another former NHL’er is making headlines in Europe for all the wrong reasons. Warren Peters absolutely nailed an opponent with a vicious head shot during a game in Denmark yesterday. The incident comes just a week after the ridiculous incident involving Andre Deveaux in Sweden. [TVA]
