TSN projects that P.K. Subban won’t play for Canada at the World Cup

TSN unveiled their projected Team Canada lineup for the World Cup this year, and they had one rather significant omission to speak of. According to their projection, Canadiens defenceman P.K. Subban will not be a part of the roster when the tournament begins.

Obviously Canada has one of the deepest talent pools out there, but to leave Subban off that team would be a major oversight. He currently sits fifth in scoring for NHL defencemen, which is good for second among Canadians behind Brent Burns.

This is only TSN’s projection of the team, so it isn’t set in stone or anything, but it’s a little concerning that they would leave someone as talented as him off their projected roster. For what it’s worth, they are still projecting Carey Price to be there despite the fact that he has been out of action for some time.

That being said, P.K. Subban should definitely be there, and it will be a big loss for Canada if he isn’t.
