Five seasons into his career, P.K. Subban still can’t get any respect from the officials. One of the more abused players in the game, Subban gives as much as he takes, but the standards by which he’s called for penalties are much different than they are for most players, so it’s time to figure out why.

Devante Smith-Pelly has been pretty bad so far in his career with the Montreal Canadiens, and one of the most often repeated reasons for this is that he’s out of shape, but is there actually any evidence of this? What does out of shape mean in the modern NHL?
