Tomas Kaberle Czech Extraliga Kladno Last Week 2 2 0 2
Total 10 2 4 6

Kaberle had maybe his best week of the year for Kladno with two goals in two games, but then he left the team. I haven’t seen many details on why he left, but it was sited a few times that he missed his family.

Another week and another 3 games without a point for Markov. Markov left his game yesterday in the second period with an injury, which fans instantly became paranoid about the possibility that it was a knee injury. However the news has come out that Markov hurt his ribs, so we can all calm down.

Name League Team Timeline Games Goals Assists Points
Sebastian Collberg Elitserien Frölunda Last Week 1 0 0 0
Total 16 0 2 2
Allsvenskan Örebro HK
Last Week 2 1 0 1
Total 2 1 0 1

Collberg was finally hit by the inevitable, as Frolunda realized they were wasting his time in the Elitserien and loaned him to Orebro in the Allsvenskan, Sweden’s second best league. While still playing against men, Collberg should now be a top dog instead of an also-ran. Collberg scored in his first career game in the Allsvenskan this week and is shooting the lights out. His production there should be more indicative of his talent level.

Alex Galchenyuk OHL Sarnia Sting Last Week 2 3 1 4
Total 13 7 11 18

Galchenyuk continues to improve, after doubling his assist totals last week he tried to do the same for his goals, but he only had 2 games to work with. He almost did it though, and now he’s climbing up the OHL scoring leaderboard, now a solid 12th overall. He’s also opened up a 5 point lead on the next best Sarnia player.

Dalton Thrower WHL Saskatoon Blades Last Week 1 0 0 0
Total 10 1 2 3

Thrower continues to struggle offensively, on pace for 34 points fewer than last year. At some point Thrower will break out of this funk, and it’s important not to place too much importance on the season’s first 10 games.

Tim Bozon WHL Kamloops Blazers Last Week 2 4 2 6
Total 12 13 11 24

Bozon keeps on dominating. He’s 3rd in scoring on both the Blazers and in the WHL as his line is ripping the league to shreds. He’s keeping up with them in goalscoring but he’s put up half the assists that his linemates have produced. It’s basically looking for a reason to criticize at this point.
