2021 NHL Draft: The Montreal Canadiens select Joshua Roy with 150th pick

After trading out of the fourth round the Montreal Canadiens acquired another fifth round pick, 150th overall from the Minnesota Wild. With that pick, Montreal added Joshua Roy, a centre from Sherbrooke in the QMJHL.

Roy split his season between the Saint John Sea Dogs, where he had nine goals and eight assists in 15 games, and the Sherbrooke Phoenix, where he added 13 goals and 5 assists in 20 games. In three playoff games he added a goal and three assists as well.

Roy will return to the Q with the Phoenix next season, and Montreal’s next pick is 191st overall.
