Noah Juulsen’s first season since being drafted by the Montreal Canadiens has been going well, as he is part of the Everett Silvertips vaunted defence, and his strong play has been rewarded again.
After a strong showing in the recent Canada-Russia series between the WHL and an under-20 team from Russia, Juulsen has been invited to Hockey Canada’s Under-20 World Championship camp, which runs from December 10 to December 13.

Although Juulsen is producing at a lower point-per-game pace than last season, the Silvertips are a team that struggles to produce offence in general, so this is not completely unexpected. During the aforementioned WHL versus Russia games, Juulsen scored one goal over the course of two games.
His ability to play a sound defensive games while still having offensive skill makes him a candidate to be named to Canada’s tournament roster. The World Under-20 Hockey Championships will start on Boxing Day.
