Montreal Canadiens to return to Prospects Challenge in Buffalo

The Montreal Canadiens will return to the Buffalo rookie tournament, to be held September 15-18.

The team’s rookie camp will start on September 13. The Laval Rocket coaching staff led by Jean-François Houle will lead the team. The group will have most North American prospects, except those in the NCAA, and European prospects with NHL contracts, such as 2023 first-round pick David Reinbacher.

The tournament will be a big test for many prospects such as Joshua Roy and Riley Kidney, among others, who will use the games prior to making their professional debuts. The Rocket will likely have a lot of players who will be on this team to start the season.

The Montreal team will play against the Ottawa Senators, Boston Bruins, and Buffalo Sabres on September 15, 16, and 18 respectively. All games will be played at LECOM Harborcenter, the official practice facility of the Sabres.

The team’s rookie camp will be held at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard.
