The Montreal Canadiens have announced that six players received qualifying offers ahead of Saturday’s Free Agency.

Offers made to Alex Newhook, Rafaël Harvey-Pinard, Jesse Ylönen, Lucas Condotta, Mitchell Stephens, and Nicolas Beaudin.

Newly-acquired Alex Newhook, Rafaël Harvey-Pinard, Jesse Ylönen, Mitchell Stephens, Lucas Condotta and Nicolas Beaudin received offers which means they will remain restricted free agents.

Joël Teasdale and Denis Gurianov did not receive qualifying offers and will become unrestricted free agents.

Gurianov and Teasdale may not be finished in the Canadiens organization, however. Last year Rem Pitlick was not qualified but was brought back on a two-year deal below what his qualifying offer would have been, as an example.

Both players coming back may depend on the contract offers they receive, as well as whether the Canadiens can get rid of some of the forwards on their roster, especially with NHL contracts.

The deadline to submit qualifying offers was 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Players officially become free agents tomorrow at noon Eastern.
