The Canadiens mounted an incredible comeback versus the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday night, but it was necessary after another rough period that put them in a hole. It came right after the Canadiens had seen a 1-0 deficit versus the Florida Panthers turn into a 5-1 loss over the final 20 minutes a few days earlier. The Habs are having trouble putting in complete 60-minute efforts, and leaving some points on the table as a result.
With the discussion from the players and coach being about starting on time over the past few days, there will surely be a fast start for the Canadiens to tonight’s game. They’re playing a Kraken team that hasn’t won in four games, and is having some real issues scoring goals.
Montreal has its best chance to win with Samuel Montembeault in net, a winner in three of his last four starts. There has also been another reshuffling of the lines, with Juraj Slafkovský joining Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki on the top line once more.
