Agostino leads the Rocket in scoring with four goals and six assists in 12 games, and has been a fixture at the top of the lineup for head coach Joel Bouchard.
The Canadiens early season run has been good for the team, but it has come with a few casualties along the way. Paul Byron and Tomas Plekanec have both been out of action with injuries, and after a loss to the New York Rangers, Joel Armia joined them.
To make room for Agostino, the Canadiens placed Byron on injured reserve.

Byron has not played since October 30 against the Dallas Stars and would be eligible to be recalled as soon as Saturday’s game against the Vegas Golden Knights. He has missed four games so far.
There is also, of course, Nikita Scherbak who is still on a conditioning loan to the Rocket. He counts on the active roster, even while he is not with the team.
