Collberg’s season is over as Frolunda was eliminated in the quarterfinals.

Magnus Nygren 22 Elitserien Farjstads Regular Season 51 13 19 32
Elitserien Farjstads Playoffs total 6 0 3 3
Last week 1 0 0 0

Not much to report for Nygren, who was held pointless in a single game.

Erik Nystrom 19 Allsvenskan Kalskrona HK Regular Season 23 5 6 11
Allsvenskan Kalskrona HK Qualifications 5 0 2 2
Last Week 1 0 0 0
Super Elit U20 Modo U20 Regular Season 22 8 16 24

Similar to Nygren, Nystrom had just one game and didn’t manage a point. Slow week for Swedish prospects.

Czech Republic

Daniel Pribyl 20 Czech Extraliga Sparta Praha Regular Season 42 12 10 22
Czech Extraliga Sparta Praha Playoffs total 6 0 0 0
Last week 0 0 0 0

Pribyl’s season is over as well, which means our European prospects combined for a whopping zero points last week.

Canadian Hockey League

Name Age League Team Timeline Games Goals Assists Points
Brady Vail 19 OHL Windsor Regular Season 68 20 35 55
AHL Hamilton Regular Season 4 0 1 1
Last week 3 0 1 1

Vail hit a milestone this week with his first ever professional point while playing with the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs haven’t exactly been playing lights out, but it seems like even at 19 Vail is holding his own, which is a good sign for his future.

Name Age League Team Timeline Games Goals Assists Points
Olivier Archambault 20 QMJHL Drummondville Regular Season 64 32 34 66
QMJHL Drummondville Playoffs total 5 2 4 6
Last week 4 2 3 5

Archambault stepped it up another notch after netting an assist in his first playoff game, now up to 6 points in 5 games for Drummondville.

Update: Drummondville was eliminated despite Archambault’s performance, and he’s now signed an amateur tryout to play with the Bulldogs with Brady Vail.

Name Age League Team Timeline Games Goals Assists Points
Charles Hudon 18 QMJHL Chicoutimi Regular Season 56 30 41 71
QMJHL Chicoutimi Playoffs total 5 4 3 7
Last week 4 4 1 5

The Canadiens‘ best prospect in Quebec remains their best prospect in Quebec, ripping it up in the playoffs with 4 goals in 4 games this week, with an apple to boot. Hudon’s dynamic offense should be exciting for all Habs fans.

Darren Dietz 19 WHL Saskatoon Regular Season 72 24 34 58
WHL Saskatoon Playoffs total 4 1 1 2
Last week 2 1 0 1

The Saskatoon Blades have been swept in the first round once again, which has our own Bruce Peter ready to choke coach Molleken. Molleken has been swept out of the playoffs more times than he’s won a series, which is embarrassing considering the caliber of teams he’s had in Saskatoon. The Blades are hosting the Memorial Cup though, so Dietz’s season isn’t over, it’s just on hold until May 17.

Dalton Thrower 19 WHL Saskatoon Regular Season 54 6 21 27
WHL Saskatoon Playoffs total 4 0 0 0
Last week 2 0 0 0

What a disappointing year for Thrower. Here’s hoping he can rebound in the Memorial Cup tournament. Maybe the time off will help him work on his game.

Tim Bozon 18 WHL Kamloops Regular Season 69 36 55 91
WHL Kamloops Playoffs total 3 2 0 2
Last week 2 2 0 2

Much better week than last, as Bozone scores twice in two games for the Blazers in their opening round matchup. Kamloops has a stranglehold on the series with a 3-1 lead.

Name Age League Team Timeline Games Goals Assists Points
Mac Bennett 22 NCAA Michigan Regular Season 32 6 12 18
Last week 2 0 0 0

Mac Bennett’s season is over as Michigan failed to qualify for the playoffs.

Name Age League Team Timeline Games Goals Assists Points
Danny Kristo 22 NCAA North Dakota Regular Season 39 26 26 52
Last week 1 1 0 1

Kristo scored the game winning goal in North Dakota’s first game of the playoffs, sending them on to the next round (NCAA has single elimination). At this point there’s a real chance that it will be Danny Kristo joining the Canadiens, instead of a trade deadline pickup. Once his NCAA season is over, the skilled right winger could slot in beside Lars Eller and Alex Galchenyuk to make a potent, fast line.

Mark MacMillan 21 NCAA North Dakota Regular Season 41 13 12 25
Last week 1 0 0 0

MacMillan is still cold as ice right now as North Dakota is on their playoff drive. Hopefully he can step it up soon.

Sprague Ribinsoin 27 Liga Supa Glöorpf HK Regular Season 37 237 0 237
Liga Supa Glöorpf HK Playoffs total 7 107 0 107
Last week 5 63 0 63

Even with Sprague’s elite scoring presence, Glöorpf HK had trouble in the first round of the playoffs. In game six, with Glöorpf HK leading the series 3-2, and leading the game 17-16, Sprague was sprung with a hard pass out of the zone while the opposing net was empty. The puck bounced over his stick, but his teammate Avi (no last name) was able to corral the puck and had a clear breakaway on the open net. Realizing what would happen if Sprague was awarded an assist, coach Skaär van der Gaärnaärdaärhaärlaärnaärjaärensensensensensensensen began to scream at Avi to not score the insurance marker. He noticed at the last second, and from the crease, dumped the puck into the corner. Of course the play came the other way instantly, with Glöorpf HK giving up a goal in the dying seconds, and another in the opening minutes of overtime. Game 7 was a goaltending battle though, it finished at just 12-9 with Sprague scoring every goal for Glöorpf.
