We are five days into the first World Junior Championship on Swedish soil since the infamous 2014 tournament, where some country named Finland broke Swedish hearts by winning in overtime.

Patrik Bexell, Jared Book, and Anton Rasegård take the time to contemplate over what we’ve seen so far during the tournament, reflecting on potential surprises and looking ahead to the future.

Sweden has taken advantage of their home ice, and have currently yet to concede a single goal after three games played. Meanwhile, main rivals USA, with Montreal prospect Jacob Fowler in net, struggled to take care of a springy Czech team.
