Habsent Minded 2.42: This team is like a box of chocolates

Habsent Minded is back with another episode, discussing the seemingly never ending saga that is the Montreal Canadiens’ rollercoaster season. A strong outing in New York was followed by an Andrei Vasilevskiy shutout and four goals conceded in Tampa on Thursday night.

Patrik Bexell and Anton Rasegård discuss Jesse Ylönen’s arrival to Laval and what the team can expect from him for the remainder of the season. After discussing Ylönen’s strengths as a hockey player, they also talk about why it is beneficial for him to have Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Otto Leskinen to greet him in Laval.

Mattias Norlinder received a prestigious award from Hockeyallsvenskan this week for what has been an impressive season. He thereby joins a list of former winners that include two current stars in the NHL. Having watched Norlinder extensively, Patrik compares his attacking playing style to that of a former Canadiens great. Something which apparently, Mattias himself did not agree with.

Lastly, Patrik and Anton give their take on a question from a listener, concerning a past first-round draft pick who now tears it up in the KHL. Would he be a good asset for Marc Bergevin to bring into the lineup for next season?
