The Canadiens once again get used to life without Kirby Dach, out with a serious knee injury that has put his season in jeopardy. In his place steps Alex Newhook, a player Kent Hughes added to the team for just such a situation, while Michael Pezzetta gets his first action of the season to fill out the forward lines.
The Wild don’t have the luxury of an extra healthy forward waiting in the wings and will therefore be going with just 11 tonight. That weakened formation could be just what the Canadiens need to ease into the matchup with some new lines and come away with another win, and the division lead.
