Montreal Canadiens lines at training camp, July 15: Shea Weber returns

The Montreal Canadiens had their third practice of their Phase Three training camp at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard on Wednesday morning.

Shea Weber returned to practice after taking Tuesday off. He came on the ice late on Tuesday and skated on his own. Claude Julien said his captain would be back on Wednesday, and he was.

Xavier Ouellet and Brett Kulak once again missed practice, as did Alexander Romanov and Max Domi who are expected to be missing for the next little while.

At forward, there were no changes to the line combinations as the team waits for a decision on Domi’s return.

That meant that Jonathan Drouin and Joel Armia skated with Nick Suzuki while Jesperi Kotkaniemi was with Paul Byron and Artturi Lehkonen. Ryan Poehling, Charles Hudon, Alex Belzile, and Laurent Dauphin seemed to be the extra forwards.

On defence, Weber took his place next to Ben Chiarot with Victor Mete and Jeff Petry once again together. The third and fourth pairings made it hard to distinguish between the two with Noah Juulsen and Josh Brook splitting time on the left side of Christian Folin while Gustav Olofsson skated with Cale Fleury.

All four goaltenders once again took part in practice.
