Montreal Canadiens lines at training camp, July 14: Josh Brook returns, Shea Weber skates alone

The Montreal Canadiens had their second practice of their Phase Three training camp at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard on Tuesday morning.

Max Domi and Alexander Romanov are still missing at camp. Xavier Ouellet and Brett Kulak did not practice for the second consecutive day, while Shea Weber did not practice on Tuesday. Teams have been told to not provide any details to why players missing practice and simply say they are ‘unfit’ for practice.

Seventeen forwards, eight defencemen, and four goaltenders participated in Tuesday’s practice.

At forward, there were no changes to the line combinations as the team waits for a decision on Domi’s return.

On defence, Josh Brook returned to practice and skated with Noah Juulsen. Christian Folin took Weber’s place next to Ben Chiarot.

It makes sense that Claude Julien and the rest of the Canadiens coaching staff wants to wait before implementing any of the Laval Rocket players into the main lines, not to mention some of them are taking to the ice for the first time or one of the first times since suffering from various injuries.

UPDATE: At the end of practice, Weber did jump on the ice, and then stayed on the ice alone with Luke Richardson.
