The Montreal Canadiens and Claude Julien have had to make changes to their lines for the first time since training camp started.
Joel Armia and Paul Byron left Thursday’s game with injuries. Armia is suffering from a concussion while Byron will be evaluated day-to-day. Both players did not practice on Friday.
Corey Perry, who is on the team’s taxi squad skated with Tyler Toffoli and Jesperi Kotkaniemi on the team’s third line. If Byron is unable to play on Saturday, he will be replaced by Michael Frolik.

It is also possible that Victor Mete gets dressed for Saturday’s game and that the team will go with 11 forwards and seven defencemen. Mete is already on the team’s active roster but has been a healthy scratch for all five games so far.
