The Habs made a minor move on NHL Trade Deadline Day, claiming Mike Brown after the San Jose Sharks placed him on waivers.
Marc Bergevin then followed that up with a last-second move to trade Devante Smith-Pelly, perhaps explaining the Brown move earlier in the day. The new addition to the roster is scheduled to be in the lineup to take on his former team tonight, and will do so at the expense of Lucas Lessio, who will sit out as a healthy scratch.

Brown is slated to play on Michael McCarron’s wing on the fourth line. That line, with Torrey Mitchell on the left, will be made up entirely of right-handed shooters.
Lars Eller will be sticking around after all, and centres Alex Galchenyuk and Sven Andrighetto for what has been the Habs’ most consistent line in recent weeks. Phillip Danault centres a speedy trio along with Jacob de la Rose and Paul Byron.

Mike Condon gets the start in net once again. After being left in for all six goals versus the Arizona Coyotes on February 15, Condon has gone 3-0-1, finishing with a save percentage no lower than .917 in any of those games.
