The net belongs to Cayden Primeau for the game in Chicago versus the Blackhawks. The goaltender has started six games this season, and the three wins he has amassed have come in the three games he’s played on the road, giving up two goals in each of those outings

The opportunity is there for him to improve his season record to 4-3 when he faces the 31st-ranked Blackhawks. The former juggernaut is now little more than Connor Bedard in the first phase of a rebuild, and while he is a very impressive rookie, he doesn’t have much of a chance in a sport played with six players a side. It’s going to take a few seasons to install a supporting cast around the prized talent, so for now they are just a points dispenser for other teams.

That’s not to say they can’t win games. They have accomplished that 10 times this season, but after the contract termination for Corey Perry, goals aren’t easy to come by. The Canadiens have managed at least three in each match of a current four-game points streak, which is good for their chances of scoring more goals than their opponent tonight.
