The Laval Rocket announced that they signed defenceman Terrance Amorosa to a one-year, two-way contract for the 2021-22 season.

Amorosa, a Montreal native, is the first AHL contract signed for the 2021-22 season. The 26-year-old played five AHL games for the Rocket last season, scoring one goal and was a +2.
That one goal was scored in his first game at the Bell Centre on May 7 against the Belleville Senators.
“It’s definitely a goal I’ll never forget especially being at the Bell Centre, being a Montreal kid,” Amorosa said after the game.
The 6’1”, 195-pound left-shot defenceman signed a try-out contract with the team on March 8, but didn’t play his first AHL game until April 23.
“I definitely believe in myself. I believe I can keep up at this level,” Amorosa said earlier this season. “It was a lot of hard work to get there. I’ve been here for two months and it took me a while to get my opportunity and I tried to make the most of it.”
He was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the fifth-round of the 2013 NHL Draft. He played four years at Clarkson University in the NCAA, and prior to signing with the Rocket this year, played 63 ECHL games over three seasons.
He also talked about his experience of being within the Canadiens organization.
“It’s been pretty surreal. Being a Montreal kid, growing up here, everyone talks about the Montreal Canadiens,” he said. “You listen to the radio, watch on TV, talk with your friends, it’s a hot topic. Getting to play for a team within the organization… It’s really cool. Sometimes I have to sit back and soak it in a little bit but it’s an awesome feeling. It really is.”
Later on Wednesday, the American Hockey League named its All-Star teams for all divisions. In the Canadian Division, defenceman Otto Leskinen and goaltender Cayden Primeau were named to the team.

Both players are currently with the Canadiens extended roster. Leskinen had one goal and 16 points in 33 games this season. He was also a +15 and had six power play assists.
Primeau had a 11-4-0 record for the Rocket this season with a .909 save percentage and two shutouts.
Both players were in their second AHL seasons.
The rest of the Canadian Division all-star team was defenceman Connor Mackey (Stockton) and forwards Kalle Kossila (Toronto), Egor Sokolov (Belleville), and Nathan Todd (Manitoba).
