Kim St-Pierre has become one of the newest inductees into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

The announcement was made on Wednesday. She joins Ken Holland, Marian Hossa, Jarome Iginla, Kevin Lowe, and Doug Wilson in the class of 2020.
She is the first player to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame who has played for the Montreal Stars/Canadiennes franchise and the first woman goaltender inducted.
Kim St-Pierre played for Montreal for four seasons. She won the CWHL’s goaltender of the year award in each of her three full seasons.
The Chateauguay, Quebec native was 39-8 in 47 career regular season starts with a 1.94 goals against average and CWHL record nine shutouts. She was 6-1 in seven playoff games with a 1.69 goals against average.
St-Pierre won three Olympic gold medals with Team Canada, and added five World Championship gold medals and four silvers. Her 64 wins for Team Canada is still the all-time record. In international competition, she had a 64-10 record, a 1.17 goals against average and a .939 goals against average.
She also has the record for most games played among Canadian goaltenders. Her 29 shutouts are nine ahead of second placed Shannon Szabados.
She also had an illustrious career at McGill University. This was her fifth year of eligibility.
