After their game versus the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Montreal Canadiens made more cuts from training camp, assigning Jake Evans, Josh Brook, and Alex Belzile to the AHL’s Laval Rocket.
Nous avons assigné les attaquants Riley Barber, Alex Belzile et Jake Evans, de même que le défenseur Josh Brook au Rocket de Laval.

The report also lists Riley Barber as getting assigned, however CapFriendly lists him as requiring waivers before being able to report to the minors. Belzile, despite being 28 years old, gets one year of waivers exemption on his first NHL contract.
Riley Barber is the only player being sent down to Laval of the four @MAGodin lists that is not waiver exempt, meaning he’ll most likely appear on tomorrow’s waiver list at noon ET. https://t.co/Xb42UtcfHT

The move gives Joël Bouchard plenty of young prospects to work with from the first day of AHL camp, with more set to join the team in the coming days, though many of the remaining options will need to clear waivers as well.
