After coming together with a Philadelphia Flyers player early the second, Victor Mete skated slowly back to the bench, then headed to the locker room. The Montreal Canadiens have announced that he will not return to the game.

The defence has had a rough go of it this season, and especially recently. Losing a member of the top four isn’t going to help matters, so hopefully he won’t be out long.
In the interim, it will be a real trial by fire for Gustav Olofsson, who now gets bumped up to play more significant minutes in his Canadiens debut. He and Ben Chiarot will be tasked with keeping a tough Flyers team in check for the rest fo the afternoon.
[Previous] UPDATE: Mete will miss at least one more game.
