Unfortunately Robyn couldn’t make it this week, but that means we get to have our pal Dave Trentadue in to help us out. This is the last podcast of 2015 for us, as Conor is gone next week, and I’m gone the week after.

Steven Stamkos favourited a tweet, so we all need to freak out about it.

This podcast comes as the Montreal Canadiens have experienced their first losing streak of the season, dropping three straight games. However the news isn’t all bad, the Canadiens have actually played remarkably well over that time, even with a series of injuries to important players like Brendan Gallagher and Carey Price. So what’s going on?

One of the continual problems for the Habs has been that young players can’t catch a break. Alex Galchenyuk has been the team’s highest scoring player per minute at even strength and on the powerplay, yet he gets less ice time than Dale Weise. Nathan Beaulieu has continually killed it with Jeff Petry, but he keeps getting demoted in favour of Alexei Emelin. Can young players ever truly get out of the doghouse in Montreal?

Thanks to all of our listeners, and especially our patrons. Enjoy the holiday season.
