March 10th, 2013: Michael Ryder and Brian Gionta win the battle in the corner on the powerplay, and Tomas Plekanec sends the puck up to P.K. Subban at the point. Ryder gets himself into the slot and tips the Subban shot into the net. This goal was a team effort on a zone play.
March 10th, 2013: Subban and Andrei Markov exchange the puck twice at the point, and Subban puts a low wrist shot towards the net which Ryder once again tips past Markstrom. This goal was a team effort on a zone play.
March 21st, 2013: The Canadiens set up what looks like a dangerous play but can’t get the puck through a swarm of penalty killers. Then as it seems like the play is dead, Ryder passes the puck to Markov at the point, who walks the line a bit before giving the puck back to Ryder. Ryder takes a couple steps and shoots from the very edge of the scoring area, beating Kevin Poulin cleanly. Ryder gets himself into scoring position and scores by pure accuracy, this one was an individual effort on a zone play.
March 23rd, 2013: Subban gains the zone and controls the puck, sending it back up to Markov at the point. Markov waits for Ryder to get into position and puts a wrist shot on net that Ryder tips through Ryan Miller. This goal was a team effort on a zone play.
March 27th, 2013: Tomas Plekanec takes the puck around the Bruins‘ net and in doing so takes two Bruins players with him, out of position. After creating a passing lane he finds Ryder on the goal mouth. Ryder doesn’t get the shot off instantly, but finds a way to put it through Tuukka Rask anyway. This goal was a team effort on a zone play.
March 27th, 2013: Brian Gionta clears the Habs zone off the boards, but when Andrew Ference goes down to block the bouncing puck he turns an innocuous play into a 2-on-1 as Plekanec grabs the puck with Ryder on his flank. Ryder keeps himself in the gap between Ference and Dougie Hamilton, and sends a one-timer snap shot past Rask when Plekanec elects to pass. This goal was a team effort off the rush.
March 30th, 2013: Ryder gains the Rangers‘ zone and dumps the puck into the corner. It takes a fortunate bounce and eludes Steven Eminger, and Ryder pounces back onto the puck, carrying it across the crease and sliding it home as Martin Biron was already committed to a shot. This goal was an individual effort off the rush.
April 4th, 2013: Lars Eller corrals the rebound on a Josh Gorges point shot and sets up Brian Gionta in the slot, who’s stopped by Ondrej Pavelec. Unable to control his rebounds though, Pavelec sends the puck right onto Ryder’s stick, who puts it home. This goal was a team effort on a zone play.
April 4th, 2013: Subban sends a shot on net that once again Pavelec can’t control. Ryder jumps on the rebound and shelfs it blocker side. This goal was a team effort on a zone play.
April 6th, 2013: Gionta battles down low in the Boston zone and Plekanec picks up the loose puck, sending it up to Subban at the point. In what’s become a familiar scenario, Subban puts a shot towards the net that Ryder tips past Rask and in. This goal was a team effort on a zone play.
May 3rd, 2013: David Desharnais is first to a loose puck along the boards, which he sends into the corner. Rene Bourque beats everyone to the puck and drives to the net, failing once to get a pass through but succeeding on his second attempt. On the other side Ryder is waiting and puts the puck home easily. This goal was a team effort on a zone play.
