Bulldogs Player of the Week: Charles Hudon
An incredible rookie season continues to unfold for Hudon who became the first Bulldogs player with fifty points since 2010-2011 when Nigel Dawes and Aaron Palushaj topped the half-a-hundred point plateau. Hudon’s dominance on the scoresheet is due in part to his linemates Sven Andrighetto and Daniel Carr, who together form one of the best goalscoring trios in the AHL.
The Bulldogs leading scorer kicked off his week with an assist on Carr’s twentieth goal of the year against the Adirondack Flames. The assist and goal came late as the Bulldog forced the game to overtime where they fell 5-4 in the new three on three format. Hudon followed that up on Saturday by scoring his thirteenth goal of the year to reach fifty points overall. He sits tied for fifth in the AHL for scoring and continues to lead all rookies.

Gabriel Dumont: It was a quiet week for the Bulldogs captain with him registering one goal(his sixteenth) in two games played.
Sven Andrighetto: While he is known primarily for his goal scoring talents this week Andrighetto became quite the playmaker. The Swiss forward grabbed two assists on the week bringing him within four points of last years scoring pace.
Daniel Carr: The rookie out of Union College scored his twentieth goal of the season in a 5-4 OT loss to Adirondack. Carr is now the first Bulldogs forward since Andreas Engqvist in 2011-2012 to hit twenty goals in a season.
Drayson Bowman: Since lining up alongside Eric Tangradi and T.J. Hensick Bowman has been one of the Bulldogs most consistent players. This past week Dr. Dray grabbed one goal and two assists in three games played. He is only four points away from tying his best AHL season and has played seven games less so far this year.
Eric Tangradi: The former Winnipeg Jet continues his hot streak this week with another goal and a pair of assists in three games played.
Davis Drewiske: After several weeks of consistent production it would seem that Drewiske is mired in a minor slump as he registered zero points this week.
Christian Thomas: It’s been slow going for Thomas since his return from Montreal. The speedy forward grabbed just one assist on the week.
Darren Dietz: In two games played this week the sophomore blueliner failed to record a point.
Greg Pateryn: The Bulldogs all-situations defencemen scored his third goal of the season in a 3-1 loss to Rochester.
Jacob de la Rose: The Swedish forward is still on recall with the Canadiens and is playing alongside Lars Eller and Devante Smith-Pelly.
Mac Bennett: The rookie blueliner was held out of the line up this week as he nurses an injury.
Michael Bournival: Following last weeks trade deadline the young forward was assigned to the Bulldogs. In his first three games since being demoted he registered one assist on Gabriel Dumont’s sixteenth goal of the season.
Jarred Tinordi: The massive rearguard didn’t find his way on to the scoresheet this week for the Bulldogs.
Morgan Ellis: Since his return from the ECHL Ellis is doing everything possible to stay in the Bulldogs lineup. This past week he recorded a single assist in three games played.
Bryan Allen: The veteran defencemen record no points and four PIMs on the week.
Connor Crisp: The hard hitting forward was limited to just one game this week where he recorded just a single shot on goal.
Dalton Thrower: It took a little while but this past week saw Thrower record his first professional goal for the Brampton Beast.
Mike Condon: It was an uncharacteristically poor week for the Bulldogs starting goalie. A 0-1-1 record alongside a ,880 SV% and 3.84 GAA marks the worst week Condon has had as a starter. Even with this poor week he remains in the top ten goalies for SV% on the year and top fifteen for GAA.
Joey MacDonald: Despite playing and losing in his only start of the week the veteran goalie posted a solid stat line for the Bulldogs. Since taking over the back up role MacDonald has seen his SV% slowly creep over .900% and has seen his GAA drop below 3.00 as well.

The Hamilton Bulldogs record currently sits at 28-23-9 giving them sixty five points total. That places the ‘Dogs at second in the North Division and seventh in the Western Conference. Hamilton starts their week on a New York road trip with games on the 10th against Adirondack and on the 13th against Rochester. On Sunday March 15th the Bulldogs will return to the Bell Centre for a clash against the Toronto Marlies.
