Habsent Minded Episode 2.57: Looking back at the first two games

Montreal Canadiens post-season hockey is back.

Jared Book and Julian McKenzie discuss their impressions from the first two games of the series between the Canadiens and the Pittsburgh Penguins, but not before asking themselves if having volunteers throwing a few hats is the best way to celebrate a hat trick.

There’s no doubt that Carey Price has been the key to the series so far, but not many people had given the Canadiens a chance. Despite this, they are in a position to improve some key aspects of their game and now have home-ice advantage in what has become a best-of-three series.

Other than Price, the most positive news for the Canadiens has been the play of Jesperi Kotkaniemi, who has established himself as a contributor to this team and whose play will change the conversation about his future. Even if the Canadiens don’t win the series, they may be able to have more fans optimistic about the result than pessimistic if the games remain close.

They close by discussing Jonathan Drouin, and what changes could be made to get him going offensively.
