After a dominant stretch in the AHL, Daniel Carr earned a recall to the Montreal Canadiens along with Michael McCarron. Carr played alongside McCarron and veteran Torrey Mitchell on the Habs fourth line during his short recall, where he had just one assist against the Coyotes.
But with Brendan Gallagher’s return to the lineup, Carr’s time with the Canadiens is up.

This move is not unexpected, especially with Michael McCarron’s strong play and Brendan Gallagher ready to come off the injured list for the upcoming match up against the Boston Bruins.
Gallagher will be available tomorrow. Carr sent down to the rock.

Carr will provide an offensive boost to the IceCaps as they open a home stand on Tuesday against the Binghamton Senators. During his time with the IceCaps in late January, Carr had two goals and three assists in three games played, and was arguably the most dominant forward on the team. While Charles Hudon and Chris Terry have been excelling lately, Carr is a pure goal scorer and could help spark a slumping Daniel Audette in the line up.
