Chris Terry recalled by the Canadiens

Following yet another injury, this time to Sven Andrighetto, the Canadiens have proceeded to call up forward Chris Terry from the St. John’s IceCaps.

This will be Terry’s second tenure with the Canadiens this season, having previously spent five games on the roster, earning one assist in the process. Terry is currently the IceCaps’ leading scoring, with 10 goals and 15 assists in 19 games.

There’s no word yet on how long Andrighetto will be kept out of action, although the Canadiens are probably concerned with the recent string of injuries. Two of the most talented players on the farm team, Nikita Scherbak and Charles Hudon, are currently nursing injuries, and won’t be available until after the Christmas break.

The NHL’s roster freeze comes in effect at midnight on December 20th, although players exempt from waivers can still join their parent club during that time frame.
