The Juniors Report
The Montreal Canadiens currently feature prospects playing in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), the Western Hockey League (WHL), the USHL (United States Hockey League) and the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association). These leagues can be considered the primary conduit towards professional hockey in North America.
Here’s how the players in the aforementioned leagues performed last week:

Jeremiah Addison: It was an even offensive week for the Ottawa 67’s forward, marking a goal in a 5-3 loss to the Hamilton Bulldogs, and recording an assist in his second and final game: a 3-0 victory over the Peterborough Petes.
Addison’s goals-per-game pace has increased by a solid margin last season’s 0.3 to 0.45 this year.
Daniel Audette: An offensive slump has begun to develop for the Sherbrooke Phoenix forward. He went without a point in both a 7-1 loss to the Chicoutimi Sagueneens and a 3-1 win over the Rimouski Oceanic.
Audette has just one point in his last four games, and has had only one multi-point game in his last 13. His points-per-game pace is 1.24 this season, which is an unremarkable 0.02 improvement over his previous year.
Simon Bourque: The defensive leader of the Rimouski Oceanic went without a point in his first game, a 3-1 victory over the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada. He matched his previous season’s goal-scoring mark in his second and final game, notching his 10th goal in a 3-1 loss to the Sherbrooke Phoenix.
Bourque reached the 10-goal benchmark in 19 fewer games than it took him to reach it last year. He stands out as the team’s defensive scoring leader with a 19-point lead and is third overall on Rimouski in points.
Matt Bradley: The hot and cold streaks of the Medicine Hat Tigers forward seem to be a theme of late. He went without a point in his first two games — a 2-1 loss to the Swift Current Broncos and a 5-1 loss to the Regina Pats — before scoring a goal in a 6-2 loss to the Brandon Wheat Kings.
His latest goal set a new season high for him , at 18, while having played 20 fewer games than it took to hit his previous high of 17 set last year.
Noah Juulsen: The offensive struggles of the Everett Silvertips defender do not seem to have an end in sight. He went without a point in a 3-2 loss to the Portland Winterhawks and a 4-3 win over the Kamloops Blazers, then marked an assist in his final game of the week: a 4-1 victory over the Seattle Thunderbirds.
Juulsen has only one point in his last four games and is on a 16-game goal-scoring drought, and is just third in defensive scoring on Everett.
Jake Evans: It was another solid weekend for the Notre Dame forward. Evans went scoreless in a 2-1 win over the University of Vermont before scoring a goal and an assist in the next game, a 3-1 win over Vermont. He continues to stay tied for the team scoring lead with 27 points on the season. and is the team assist leader with 21.
Nikolas Koberstein: The empty statistical season for the University of Alaska Fairbanks rookie does not appear to be turning around anytime soon. Koberstein went without a point in both of his team’s games this past weekend, a 4-0 loss to Ferris State in the first game and a 2-1 loss in the following match. Koberstein has just two points in 20 games this season.
Hayden Hawkey: Hawkey’s rookie season in the NCAA remains one of practice over playing time. He sat out both of his team’s games this past weekend as he continues to sit as the backup for Providence College.
Michael McNiven: McNiven had only one start with the Owen Sound Attack this past week and it did not go particularly well. He allowed five goals on 29 shots in a 5-0 shutout loss to the London Knights.
His save percentage on the season currently stands at .908, which now has him at 11th among OHL goaltenders.
