This is not a drill, there is some major news on the Habs’ injury front. After weeks of videos featuring a padless Carey Price skating various drills, the Canadiens goaltender is finally putting his pads back on today.

This is huge news, because for a while the thinking was that he would be shelved for the season. If the Canadiens are to make a push for the playoffs, having Price in nets would be a massive benefit to that end. Mike Condon may have made some spectacular saves, but if there is a man who can drag this team to the playoffs, it’s Carey Price.
According to Renaud Lavoie, he will not travel with the team to California this sunday, but still, having him back on skates is huge.
Sit tight, Habs fans. Carey Price may soon be back.
