The Canadiens have announced that they’ve recalled goaltender Joey MacDonald from the Hamilton Bulldogs.
The reason behind the call up is an upper-body injury to star goalie Carey Price. We’re not too sure if the injury is serious, but judging from Lavoie’s tweet, it’s a preventative measure, and not an emergency situation.
The injury probably occurred against the Blue Jackets, when Max Pacioretty shoved Matt Calvert into Price.
Carey Price est blessé au haut du corps. Par mesure préventive, Joey MacDonald a été rappelé. Il serait surprenant que Price joue demain.

As every single Habs fan knows, Carey Price is the heart & soul of the team, their outright MVP, and a leading contender for the Vezina and Hart trophies this season. Hopefully it’s just a minor issue.
We’ll update you as soon as we know more on the extent of Price’s injury.
Update: Lavoie’s English translation seems a little clearer
Carey Price (upper body) is injured. Joey MacDonald is call up. Not a big injury for Price but I’ll be surprised if he plays tomorrow.
