Bottom Six Minutes Episode II: The Leafs are who we thought they were

After a low-scoring yet highly exciting game 1 victory for the Montreal Canadiens in Toronto, they were looking at an opportunity to take a stranglehold on the series before taking it to home ice for the third and fourth acts of this series.

Spoiler alert, because they failed pretty hard in their attempt. Here is your Bottom Six Minutes for the Toronto Maple Leafs evening the series at one apiece.

The game started well enough. Jesperi Kotkaniemi opened the scoring before it all went to hell. Kotkaniemi was arguably the best skater for Montreal in the game, so I’ll have some words for how important it is for him to get going

I’ll touch — probably more than a little —  on the one-sided officiating, but also how the Tricolore can’t pretend it was the only reason they lost. The refs could have spread some love their way, but if Montreal wants to win this series, they can’t give Toronto so many opportunities.

And I have a little prediction to make, but you’ll have to click that play button below to see just how bold you think it might be.
