PENALTY SUMMARY

2ND PERIOD

15:53 MTL B. PRUST : CLOSING HAND ON THE PUCK – 2 MIN

For the second consecutive night, the Canadiens found the net in the second period, taking a 3-1 lead over the Senators. This time, the Habs broke through without the aid of a prolonged man-advantage, as all three goals came with the man advantage.

The Senators held the shot advantage, but the Canadiens held the goaltending advantage, as Carey Price looked as cool and collected as one would expect of him. Price came through with a number of good saves, including huge ones on Turris, Gonchar, and Zibanejad.

Last night, the Canadiens played a poor third period. Drained of any emotion after the injury to Lars Eller, the Senators put three goals past the Canadiens and took the victory. The Canadiens will need another solid twenty minutes to close out a victory tonight.
