Canadiens vs. Senators: Monahan with Caufield and Suzuki, Slafkovský gets another game

The Montreal Canadiens will play their second of six pre-season games on Wednesday night at the Bell Centre against the Ottawa Senators.

Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki will make their pre-season debuts and will have Sean Monahan on their wing as head coach Martin St-Louis is trying to find the right combinations.

Kirby Dach, who had played with Monahan in pre-season scrimmages, will centre the second line with Rafaël Harvey-Pinard and Juraj Slafkovský, who will play his second straight game.

Lias Andersson will play with Filip Mesar and Emil Heineman, while Jared Davidson will make his pre-season debut with Gabriel Bourque and Brandon Gignac.

On defence, Mike Matheson and David Savard take the top pairing duties. William Trudeau plays with Johnathan Kovacevic, while Mattias Norlinder makes his pre-season debut with newcomer Brady Keeper.

Jake Allen and Cayden Primeau will likely split the duties in goal.

Puck drop is set for 7:00 p.m. Eastern.
