Canadiens vs. Senators: Game thread, rosters, lines, and how to watch

After heading home from Quebec City with a 2-1 record so far in the pre-season, the Montreal Canadiens will wrap up the tune-up slate with a game at home and on the road versus each Ontario teams.

Tonight the Canadiens will face the Ottawa Senators at the Bell Centre. After playing last night versus a minor-leaguer-heavy Chicago Blackhawks team, Matt Duchene gets the day off, but otherwise the Sens will have many of their top NHLers dressed for the game.

Unfortunately for them, an off-season of change hasn’t left them with many quality options, with Mark Stone leading the charge up front and Codi Ceci standing in as the team’s top defenceman. What they will have is Brady Tkachuk on the attack, getting a chance to follow up a great Rookie Showdown performance against a more professional version of the Canadiens.

He will see a familiar face on the other side, as Jesperi Kotkaniemi draws into the lineup yet again in a mini battle of top-four draft picks. Tkachuk won the first matchup between the two, but Kotkaniemi has been stradily adjusting to the pro game since the beginning of September, and tonight will have two quality wingers to help him along.

Carey Price will play the entire 60 minutes, and will hope to see another good performance from Victor Mete and Noah Juulsen in front of him.
