At the offset of the season, both the Canadiens and the Senators were two teams who were often overlooked by most other teams, however, three weeks into the season, and both teams are looking like two of the biggest surprises in the NHL.

Ottawa has accumulated a record of 3-2-1 this season, and have looked competitive despite the glaring holes in their lineup. Bolstered by the emergence of Thomas Chabot and Maxime Lajoie, the Senators could prove a challenge to the Canadiens tonight, but luck has been on the Canadiens side of late, as they’ve won six of their last seven games against Ottawa.

Montreal is looking to win their fourth straight game, coming off a win against the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday. Tomas Plekanec will not be in the Canadiens line up due to an injury sustained in that game, while Nicolas Deslauriers and Andrew Shaw will return to the line up tonight. Charles Hudon (healthy scratch) and Victor Mete (hand) will also sit out.

Carey Price will start for the Habs, and tonight he could have the opportunity to tie Patrick Roy in franchise wins if the game goes the Canadiens way. He has 22-9-4 record in his career against the Senators.
