Bottom Six Minutes Episode XXI: Canadiens refuse to quit

The Montreal Canadiens have definitely faced adversity in these playoffs, but nothing like being down 3-0 against a team as formidable as the Tampa Bay Lightning. They needed a massive effort in Game 4 just to keep their season alive and live to fight one more day in these finals.

They got it, and there will be a Game 5 in Tampa later this week. Welcome to your Bottom Six Minutes for a thrilling OT win in Montreal.

Dominique Ducharme inserted Alexander Romanov back into the lineup for a pivotal game, and it worked out. Not only was he an imposing physical presence, he scored a huge goal for his team that ended up being pivotal in getting the game to overtime.

The Habs also pushed Josh Anderson up the lineup to play with Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield. It was a highly successful move, and earned immediate results. I actually predicted the Anderson OT winner live on television seconds before it happened, and if you click the play button below, I’ll have the audio from that moment.

One game at a time. The Habs need three more straight in order to bring Lord Stanley home. Three more like that would do the trick.
