Once again Emelin was deked out of his jockstrap. I’m not sure what it’ll take for Therrien to stop playing him his wrong side.
Kadri turned him inside-out and dished the puck to Cody Franson who had an easy tap-in for the early lead.
Montreal showed a little life, but it’s easy to qualify this as another lackluster period. Price had to be sharp on several occasions as Montreal continued it’s habit of giving away endless odd-man rushes.
Towards the end of the frame Montreal went to the PP and the Subban shot generator was put to good use. After 5 point shots from Subban & Markov, Gallagher finally put one behind Bernier.
