After spending a lot of time getting the penalty kill to play better, it completely fell apart in the second period tonight. Josh Gorges left his man in order to block a shot he had no chance of blocking, and his man, Matt Moulson, then tipped the shot past Price for a wet ice goal, and those suck.
Pacioretty got the Habs back their two goal lead, after a great shift by his line, his 4th goal in 3 games. And Erik Cole is showing signs of life.
Gorges and Diaz aren’t cutting it together on the first wave PK. They don’t do very well at evens either so I’m not sure what Therrien is thinking.
This game should be a blowout, but it’s close. Stupid.
