The Montreal Canadiens are a team that’s unable to find the back of the net. And when they do, the other team usually finds a way to score more.
The Canadiens continue their four-game road trip with a date in SIn City as they face the red-hot Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday evening.
Losers of four in a row, the Canadiens started their road swing with defeats to the Colorado Avalanche and Arizona Coyotes, by scores of 2-0 and 5-2, respectively.
This game will be the second meeting of these two teams, with the Habs coming out on top back on November 7, by a 3-2 score at the Bell Centre.

In their inaugural season and with few big names on their roster, people were quick to write off the new franchise, but that soon changed. Currently with the second-best record in the entire NHL, the Golden Knights have also posted 21 wins, which is the second most as well, just below the Pittsburgh Penguins and Winnipeg Jets, with 22.
The Canadiens looked as if they were poised to make a comeback on Thursday evening versus Arizona after being down 3-0, but two quick goals cut the deficit to just one with Brendan Gallagher’s team-leading 21st, and Daniel Carr’s fourth. Unfortunately an untimely penalty by captain Max Pacioretty, his second of the evening, cost the momentum the Habs were building, as the Coyotes took the game 5-2.
The Golden Knights have won three of their last four, and in their last game, jumped to a 4-0 lead against the Edmonton Oilers before winning the game 4-1. Leading scorers Jonathan Marchessault and William Karlsson both scored to help solidify the win, and Marc-Andre Fleury made 28 saves.
