Canadiens vs. Ducks game thread, rosters, lines and how to watch

The Canadiens are back at the Bell Centre after putting together a gutsy 2-1 win in Washington Saturday night.

While they are back in Montreal to take on the Ducks tonight, the team did not return from Washington fully intact. Andrei Markov, who left the game Saturday night, will not play tonight and is listed as day-to-day with a lower body injury.

The burden of injury is something this team has been coping with for the last few weeks, and with Markov out of the mix, it won’t get any easier. Markov’s 19 assists is good for third-best among NHL defenseman, and he’s top ten among defensemen in points (21 points, tied for 7th).

The Ducks are coming off a win in Toronto last night. This is game five of a six-game road-trip for the Ducks, who are 2-2-0 thus far on the trip. With John Gibson starting last night, it’s likely Jonathan Bernier gets the start between the pipes tonight. Bernier is 1-8-3 against the Canadiens in his career, with a .895 save percentage and 3.24 goals against average.
