Canadiens vs. Coyotes: Game Thread, roster, lines, and how to watch

After a slow schedule last week that saw the Canadiens play only twice, the Habs will play three in the next four days, with back-to-back games tonight and tomorrow.

The Canadiens overcame a 3-0 deficit on Monday against the team that sits just one point above the Coyotes at the moment, rallying to defeat the Vancouver Canucks in overtime. The 36-shot effort that erased a dismal first period by the Habs gave them their 14th win of the season, keeping them on pace with the New York Rangers (who haven’t lost a game in regulation since falling 3-0 to the Habs a month ago) and the Dallas Stars.

Just like the Vancouver Canucks, the Arizona Coyotes are in the midst of a road-trip, however, unlike the Canucks were on Monday, the Coyotes are well-rested, not having played since Monday. The Yotes spent the past couple of days in Montreal, and are looking to get back on the winning track after losing their last two games by the same 5-2 scoreline.

While Airzona has some explosive weapons up front, their defensive corps leaves much to be desired. As a result, the Coyotes have an even ratio of goals-for and goals against with 32 for and 32 against.

As anticipated, Alexander Semin is a healthy scratch tonight, with Torrey Mitchell taking his place on the second line. Paul Byron will suit up to play on the fourth line. Mike Condon will make his 11th start of the season, and even with the Canadiens playing in Brooklyn tomorrow night, he could possibly start all three games the Habs play between now and Sunday.

The puck drops at 7:30 PM EST.
