Canadiens vs. Bruins Game Thread, roster, lines, and how to watch

The last time the Habs were scheduled to face the Bruins, they were on a 1-7-0 run and had narrowly averted going on an eight-game losing streak, instead stopping the slide at six, winning one game and then losing the next. Tonight, the Habs will look to stop a four-game losing streak, and collect just their sixth win since December 1st.

The Bruins have only won three games in eight since meeting the Habs on New Year’s Day. The Bruins sit one point ahead of the Habs with two games at hand, making this a big game for both teams. With a win, the Bruins can jump to as high as fifth in the Eastern Conference, as eleven teams separated by six points jockey for position, including the Habs who can fall as low as eleventh should they lose tonight and a few teams beneath them pick up wins over the next couple of days.

David Krejci will be out once again for the Bruins as he was for the Winter Classic, still getting into game shape after recently recovering from an upper body injury. Brad Marchand, on the other hand, is playing tonight, which should give the Bruins a little more edge than they had in that game, something they failed to play with in their 5-1 trouncing by the Canadiens at Gillette Stadium.

The Habs made only one minor change to the lineup that got them 29 shots on net on 63 shot attempts, replacing Jacob De La Rose with Devante Smith-Pelly. Mike Condon gets his 31st start of the season and will be seeking his 13th win. After stringing together three consecutive wins, Condon is 0-2-1 in his last three starts.

The puck drops at 7:30 PM EST.
