Canadiens sign Lucas Condotta and Nicolas Beaudin to two-way contracts

Laval Rocket

The Montreal Canadiens have continued to work on shaping their AHL roster today, signing both Nicolas Beaudin and Lucas Condotta to two-way deals for the upcoming season.

Beaudin was acquired last year from the Rockford Ice Hogs, and posted a respectable 25 points through 39 games for Laval. His deal is for one year only, and the Chateauguay, QC native is expected to spend most of, if not the entire season with the Rocket.

Elite Prospects

Condotta joined the Laval Rocket at the end of his collegiate career, playing a total of 17 games in the regular and post-season in 2021-22, then 72 in the AHL last season, registering 31 points. He received his first NHL call-up for the final game of the year, scoring a goal versus the Boston Bruins.

On a Rocket team that will feature a number of rookies this season, the 25-year-old will be one of the veterans despite beginning just his second full professional campaign himself. He will be a long way down the depth chart for a chance with the Canadiens, but he showed last year that he’s ready to pounce on whichever

the season.
