Canadiens release 11 players from rookie camp

The Montreal Canadiens finished their rookie tournament and are now back in Montreal and return with a lighter roster.

Today, 11 players were sent back to their teams. Most of them were tryouts and junior players.

Guillaume Asselin, William Bitten, Simon Bourque, Matthew Bradley , Scott Eansor, Arvid Henrikson, Hayden McCool, Victor Mete, Petrus Palmu, Michael Pezzetta, and Michael Zipp were all sent back to their respective teams.

The only four players with Junior eligibility remaining with the team are goaltender Michael McNiven, defencemen Noah Juulsen and Mikhail Sergachev, and forward Jeremiah Addison. Also remaining in camp is try out Giovanni Fiore. In all, 16 players remain in camp.

Of the players remaining in rookie camp, only Fiore and Addison do not have professional contracts with the Canadiens.

We could imagine that the players remaining will stay for main camp starting on Thursday along with other rookie camp attendees like Lehkonen, Michael McCarron, Ryan Johnston, and others.
