With Jonathan Drouin already injured, and Tomas Tatar leaving Tuesday night’s game against the Islanders with an upper body injury, the Montreal Canadiens were again short on forwards. In response the team has used an emergency recall to bring Lukas Vejdemo up to the NHL for Thursday night’s game in Tampa Bay.
The Canadiens have recalled forward Lukas Vejdemo from the AHL’s Laval Rocket (emergency recall). He will meet the team in Tampa Bay and will be available for tomorrow’s game against the Lightning.#GoHabsGohttps://t.co/jE3nF0IQ5e

Because it is an emergency recall, the team does not waste one of its few remaining normal recalls. This is Vejdemo’s appearance in the NHL this season, he played four games for Montreal earlier, recording zero points.
In 46 games for Montreal’s AHL team in Laval, Vejdemo has nine goals and ten assists while playing big defensive minutes for Joel Bouchard.
