There were some updates surrounding some Montreal Canadiens players at practice today.
Before practice started, Carey Price took to the ice in full equipment. He didn’t take any shots, but thanks to a video from Sportsnet, we can see what he was working on and it does look like he was testing his lower body injury with some movement exercises.

He doesn’t look like he’s ready for game action, and while it’s encouraging that he’s on the ice, until he’s back with his teammates, he’s not close to game action and with the play of the team – and Charlie Lindgren – there’s no reason to rush him back.
As for Andrew Shaw and Jonathan Drouin, both are 50/50 to play, according to Claude Julien after practice.

Drouin was hurt in what looked like the hand and left the game. Andrew Shaw apparently blocked a shot and looked in pain but neither has been confirmed by the team.
Today with both out, Brandon Davidson skated as a forward which means that if both were to miss tomorrow’s game, they could either recall a forward or play with seven defencemen. I’m sure we’ll know more after morning skate tomorrow.
There was also an update on David Schlemko who has played one pre-season and one AHL game this season before undergoing hand surgery. He also skated with Price before practice.
