Let’s be honest, this is a throwaway game. The only reason I’m still watching is because I have to write about it. I’m really not sure why you’re watching it.
CBC loves it though. Every bit of commentary tonight has one focus “these teams will meet in the playoffs”. That’s far from a guarantee, although losing tonight makes it more likely.
Glenn Healy is so happy about this game, that he suggested that the Leafs should try to “send them to the infirmary”, or to injure as many Habs as possible to “make the playoffs easier”. I kid you not, this piece of garbage actually said this.
Looks like Brandon Prust is already hurt too.
There’s really nothing to take from this game that’s positive.
