It took awhile for the Habs to start generating offense, but an unsuccessful powerplay seemed to turn the tide of the game. The Leafs took the lead shortly after off of an undisciplined play from Andrei Markov, but it never felt like Toronto was in control.
It took until 11 minutes into the period for the Canadiens to get a shot on net, yet they outshot Toronto 9-6 in the period.
The tying goal created by Jarred Tinordi obliterating Mikhail Grabovski, then the trio of young guns creating a beautiful goal off the rush by Lars Eller just screamed “Future”.
